For several years, VARS BRNO
has been developing special applications that provide reliable support for road
management authorities. End users of these software tools include road management
experts in the public sector. However, some data are available to broad public
as well.
The development process has
been successfully accomplished and current portfolio includes complete set of
road management tools. The applications can process motorways, roads (class 1
to 3) with additional support for variable/constant parameters. One of the key
advantages of the product line is that all the applications are instantly
accessible via web browser interface and communicate with each other.
The service includes filling
the databases with relevant data and collection of variable parameter data by
expert partners.
This system allows easy management of road facility data with all related information/processes. It is independent on current region layout and features open customizable configuration to meet emerging needs and requirements of the users.
Bridge Management System (BMS) is an expert system containing tools for various tasks. These include bridge registration for all road managers in the Czech Republic and bridge evaluation data (current status, maintenance strategies, load limits, and repairs/renovations).
